AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Here at The Croft, we deliver a wide range of after school clubs from Performing Arts to Netball. All of which are aimed at giving our pupils the best experience they could receive within afterschool clubs, allowing them to develop their individual skills and passions.

Various clubs run during different terms and this year we have had the pleasure of having outside companies delivering enriching experiences for children across the school. This includes Premier Sport who facilitate boys and girls football and basketball clubs.

We engage with the Forest School program which gives children the chance to explore and experience outdoors activities such as roasting marshmallows, team building games and orienteering. We also have outside professionals producing an exciting performance-based program through a performing arts and dance club which is available to children across the key stages.

These clubs help children to build on their confidence, imagination, team work, coordination, focus, creativity and many other transferable skills which they can use throughout their schooling years and beyond. We also have a Martial Arts club which runs for children of all levels.

As a school, the staff run other extra-curricular clubs throughout the year. Netball runs on a termly basis with children from KS2-they are developing the skills needed to be a successful part of the team. This team also aims to play games against other schools. We have a range of academic clubs throughout the year such as, Maths club, Reading club and French club.

After another successful year of after school clubs, we are happy to say we have lots more planned for this year. We have teamed up with Premier Sports, who have already started their dance and fencing clubs. Over the year they will offer a range of sports. These clubs will have a charge due to external coaches coming in.

French Club for Years 1-4 – This club runs on Monday lunchtimes for 30 mins per session. Each session can accommodate up to 10 children a session, with 2 sessions a lunchtime taking place. Each session costs £4 per child.

Martial Arts and Premier sports are paid directly to the external agency and all others are paid on ParentPay.

For each club a separate letter will come out with a return slip. The letter will contain more details about each club and what kit might be needed for each one.

Breakfast club at The Croft

Monday to Friday from 8am (Term time only)

Breakfast will be served until 8.20am daily.

Children will be led by The Croft Primary School staff to their individual classrooms at 8.45am

£3 per session per day (£1.50 for 2nd sibling)

All bookings require correct booking form and payment a week in advance. Payments need to be made via ParentPay.

We cannot accept a booking without a booking form or correct payment on Parent Pay.

To gain access to the Breakfast Club please enter to the side of the school office reception.

If a child does not respect the school’s Golden Rules regarding safety and respect whilst attending the breakfast club, in order for the school to safely comply with safeguarding the other children within the club, the school will reserve the right to allow the child to attend the club further.

Chipmunks After School Club

Staffing: Two members of The Croft Primary School staff will run The Croft Chipmunks after school club.  They are both qualified and meet the criteria to work with children and regularly attend training sessions to update their skills.

Opening Times: Monday – Thursdays 3.15pm – 5.45pm, Fridays 1.00pm – 3.30pm
A light snack is provided at the club and all dietary requirements can be met.

From 24th April 2017 the costs for Chipmunks will be:

£7.50 per day – payable in advance via Parentpay

2nd sibling rates: £5.50 per day – payable in advance via Parentpay

Important: Fees may be paid weekly, monthly or termly in advance.  All payments need to be made by using the ParentPay facility.  The above specification regarding payment and booking upfront will still apply.

How to book

  • Log onto Parent Pay
  • Click on ‘Make Meal Bookings’
  • Use the click down option which states Lunchtime
  • You will see the options to book (Chipmunks First Child etc)
  • Click on ‘Make or view bookings’
  • A table will show, please make your booking as you would for lunches

Any outstanding payments will incur a £5 administration fee if not paid at the end of each term.
