4S & 4W
We are delighted to report that we have had the most productive and wonderful Term 2. We have enjoyed a school trip to "We The Curious" and took part in a robotic workshop, as well as this we have designed and built robots as part of homework projects and through our topic afternoons.
Highlights have also included our moving and poignant Remembrance Service. Year 4 prepared the Village Green in readiness for our special visitors from The Royal British Legion and Swindon Borough Council. All children within the school took part in a procession through the school and we are proud to report that Miss Webb and the School Council played an important role in meeting our guests.
Some Year 3 and 4 children enjoyed their first residential to Arethusa. In partnership with Moredon Primary and Nursery School, Miss Webb, Mr Bonehill and Miss Mercier joined Mr Sedgewick and Mrs Skeates on an adventure of a lifetime, rock climbing, beach combing, abseiling and much more. The children came back full of excitement and ready for their adventure to PGL Liddington in the latter part of the Year.
As well as all of this the children enjoyed a fun packed week full of Christmas activities, it is amazing how much learning can be done through a Christmas topic.
Finally, we are proud of all the exciting writing that we have created this term which is on display in our classroom. We look forward to our topic of “If you were an Anglo-Saxon which Anglo-Saxon would you be? In Maths we look forward to practising our times tables and corresponding division facts.
We hope you have had a Joyous Christmas and Happy New Year celebrations.
Looking forward to welcoming back all children in Term 3
