The families at Croft Primary raised £968 to be turned into food hampers for those in need within our own Croft community and as a thank you to those who have worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic in the local area.
We created three sharing hampers containing Christmas treats such as chocolates, mince pies, biscuits and soft drinks.
Two of these will be distributed to the COVID ward and the Intensive Care ward at GWH, and the third will be deliver to a local care home, all for the staff to share and enjoy.
A further Fifteen bigger hampers were then created for the most vulnerable and in need families within our Croft Community. These contained every day essentials such as washing powder & toiletries but also Christmas luxuries, such as crackers, Christmas puddings, hot chocolate, crisps, a Gammon Joint, fresh produce and a gift for each child. Things that most of us can take for granted at this time of year.
All our hampers will be delivered directly to the families via school volunteers.
