This term our topic was Chocolate- How much is too much? After a busy term eating chocolate and making chocolate treats we think the children are now chocolate connoisseurs! They particularly enjoyed our chocolate day at the end of term as shown by their chocolatey faces 😊
Miss Baker and Mrs Ramlall are so proud of the children’s resilience and determination this term when faced with tricky challenge booklets. They took every challenge in their stride and did brilliantly. Year 1 were also impressed and decided to throw Year 2 a party with a disco, treats and drinks. Thank you for your support at home this term as it has been a hard term!
In English the children wrote, edited and published their own versions of Little Red Riding Hood. These are hanging up on display in the classroom ready for visitors to read! The children also read Spider Sandwiches then designed and made their own disgusting sandwich for Max to eat.
In Maths the children have been recapping addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It has been amazing to see how speedy they now are solving calculations mentally!
Next term our topic is The Victorians and the children have already started ask questions about this period of our history. It will be a brilliant way to conclude Year 2
