Overview

School years are not just a time for classroom learning, but also for identifying passions and hobbies. Here at The Croft, we conduct a wide range of after-school clubs, all of which are aimed at giving our students the best school experience possible. These clubs allow them to follow their passions and develop individual skills and talents.

By taking part in these clubs, our students are able to develop an array of transferable skills, including confidence, imagination, teamwork, coordination, focus, creativity, and determination. Honing these attributes at an early age sets our students up for success not only at school, but also in their adult life

Our Clubs

  • Fun Science
  • STFC Football Club
  • Matt Ward Karate
  • Revolution Performing Arts

Why Join a Club?

Young people’s skills start to grow and evolve from an early age, and their time at school plays a significant role in shaping their attributes and personality. By taking part in our after-school clubs, students enhance their social skills and enjoy spending time with other children outside of the classroom. They also develop a range of other attributes, depending on which club they attend.

Music

Music is held in high esteem at The Croft Primary School. Learning a musical instrument is fun, builds confidence and can open the door to a lifelong passion for music.

Children participate in a number of class music lessons, including African Drumming, Ukulele, Guitars, Choir and Recorders.

Peripatetic (private) music tuition is also available at The Croft through various external providers. Tuition is available in both 20 or 30 minute 1:1 or in small group lessons, where possible.

We currently offer peripatetic tuition in:

  • Guitars - Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Piano - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Trumpet - Tuesday
  • Drums - Thursday
  • Violin - Friday

Bookings are made and paid for directly with our peripatetic music providers, and availability will depend on their numbers, as to whether they can offer a place straight away or place you on a waiting list. Please see below the contact details for the music providers.
