About Our PTA

The CROFT PTA is a dedicated team of parent and teacher volunteers committed to supporting our school and enhancing the educational experiences for all our "Crofties." Our mission is to foster a strong sense of community, offering various extracurricular activities for parents, carers, and students alike.

PTA Achievements & Plans for 2024-25

In the academic year 2023-24, we successfully raised over £20,698, including a generous £10,000 grant from Nationwide. Key accomplishments include:

  • Playground Improvements: Funding for resurfacing the Woodland Area, installing benches, and creating a reading shed, turning it into an outdoor classroom and quiet space.
  • Student Events: Organising two in-school discos and a "Bounce" day featuring giant inflatables.

Fundraising Events

Our successful events include:

  • Winter Wonderland
  • Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Making
  • Summer Fete
  • Wreath Making
  • Mother's Day Crafternoon
  • Father's Day Wine Tasting

Thanks to the tremendous support from Croft parents and carers, these events have been very successful!

Upcoming Plans

This year, we have exciting events lined up:

  • September: Grand Opening of the newly refurbished areas
  • October: Launch of the Croftie Cook Book (great for Christmas gifts!)
  • November: Winter Craft Activity and Family Games/Quiz/Bingo event
  • December: Winter celebrations
  • April: Easter Egg Hunt and Bonnet Competition
  • June: Community-focused School Fete

Ongoing Initiatives

Throughout the year, we will continue:

  • Selling Pre-Loved Croft Uniforms (raised over £700 last year)
  • Collecting and selling pre-loved items like Halloween costumes and Christmas jumpers (raised over £290)
  • Organizing three Bag for Schools collections (raised £178 last year)

Our Goals for 2024-25

This year, our main aims are to:

  • Purchase a second goal/basketball net for the top playground
  • Provide more shade and additional play equipment for students
  • Explore acquiring part of the green space from Croft Field for school use
  • Build a strong community that includes staff, students, parents, and carers

You can support us effortlessly by joining Easy Fundraising. This platform partners with various brands that donate a portion of your online purchases to the "Croft Primary School PTA" without any extra cost to you. Since registering, we've raised over £400!
